“I cannot go to work today”,

said little Peggy Ann McKay.

I’m thirty and my life is grey,

I can’t do this 9-to-5 every day!

I can’t face that office, it’s so mundane,

And everyone in it is going insane.

The place is toxic, can’t you see?

This corporate chaos isn’t for me.

My back aches from my ergonomic chair,

That not even the Yoga can help me to bear.

My hairs are white from all the stress,

And I’m given pills to decompress!

My eyes are bleary, screen-induced haze,

The migraine’s attacking, and it’s not just a phase.

The coffee ran out, only instant remains

It’s cold and bland and won’t wake up my brain.

Traffic is a nightmare, a daily dread,

My carbon footprint weighs heavily on my head.

My desk is cluttered, my inbox flooded,
